Nature’s Original Biohack

March 9, 2027 @ 8:00 am – March 12, 2027 @ 11:00 pm
Tena Amazon View

March 9 to 12, 2027 · Ecuador

Four days to hear yourself think again.

Between the Andes and Amazon with Monk Choo: meditation, forest, water, Kichwa knowledge and enough space to become quiet again.

For four days, we step away from notifications, schedules and the pressure to be somewhere else. This is not about escaping your life. It is about practicing a different way of being in it.

The Andes help you slow down.
The forest teaches you to pay attention.
Monk Choo helps you understand what you notice.

Three Teachers

Not everything worth learning happens in a classroom.

Meditation is woven into the places and experiences around us, rather than separated from them.

The Practice

Monk Choo

Morning meditation, stillness in nature, evening reflection and wisdom conversations.

The Place

The Forest

Water. Heat. Rain. Birds. Darkness. Silence.

The Knowledge

Local Wisdom

Our Kichwa hosts share the forest they know: plants, food, waterfalls and traditions.

Four Days · One Journey

Arrive. Notice. Connect. Return.

Day One · Arrive
Thermal water, mountains and the gradual descent from Quito toward the Amazon.

Day Two · Notice
Forest, waterfalls and learning what changes when you pay attention.

Day Three · Connect
Cacao, Kichwa knowledge, silence and interconnection.

Day Four · Return
Close the circle and decide what practice comes home with you.

Waterfall in the Ecuadorian Amazon

Days One and Two

Arrive. Then notice.

We begin in Papallacta, soaking in thermal water beneath the mountains, then continue to Wisdom Forest in the Amazon. The following day opens with gentle movement and meditation before rainforest trails, waterfalls and forest knowledge with our Kichwa hosts.

Monk Choo’s practice:
Don’t try to become calm. Notice where you are.

The Thread Through the Journey

The forest becomes part of the practice.

Meditation does not only happen while sitting down. A practice may happen on a yoga deck, beside a river or halfway through a rainforest walk. The objective is not to collect hours of meditation. It is to discover how attention changes an ordinary moment.

Day Three

Connect through what is already here.

The forest becomes something we can taste. Our hosts introduce cacao: the plant, its story and the work hidden inside something most of us know only as chocolate.

There is also time with nothing scheduled. Hammock. Journal. Walk. Swim. Sleep. Talk to somebody. Talk to nobody.

Food at Wisdom Forest

Our Home in the Amazon

Sleep in the forest. Eat from the forest.

Wisdom Forest is our base: a permaculture forest and wildlife reserve outside Tena, surrounded by the sounds and rhythms of the Amazon. Meals are part of the experience: a time to gather, eat well, talk and allow the day to settle.

First Edition · March 9 to 12, 2027

What are you taking home that does not fit in your suitcase?

We are assembling a small First Circle for this Amazon mental hygiene journey. You do not need meditation experience. You do not need to be particularly spiritual. You just need to be willing to show up.
